Training start times
Monday 6.30pm at club (Fox Hollies Leisure Centre)
Tuesday 6.30pm at club (Fox Hollies Leisure Centre) or location as advertised.
Thursday 6.30pm at the track at Fox Hollies Leisure Centre
Note: When meeting at leisure centre we meet in first car park on left as you enter the site.
Note: Thursday sessions will include active warm up and stretching before running effort and strength work after the running.
Saturday 10am at location as advertised. Training sessions in the parks will be mainly interval based including sessions such as 45 minutes running as a relay, a mixture of long and short efforts etc. The training sessions in the countryside are long runs of about 6 to 9 miles and include a variety of terrains. They are typically quite hilly.
WARNING
During winter training reflective or light coloured clothing should be worn during hours of darkness. Paving on footpaths can be uneven. Extra care should be taken in icy conditions.

Thurs 2nd | 5 x 800m 4 minutes recovery between each 5-minute jog followed by 3 x 100m with 100m walk back recovery |
Sat 4th | Billesley Common. Meet at car park off Yardley Wood Road (opposite the end of Trittiford Road). |
Mon 6th | Relaxed social run from the club meeting at the reception area at Fox Hollies Leisure Centre. Warm up to start at 6.30pm. A variety of run distances to be led by Run Leaders. |
Tues 7th | Palmer’s Rough (medical centre off Northbrook Road) Meet at club for 6.30pm for run to venue. If going direct be ready to run at 6.50pm. Circuit to include wood as a relay. Approximately 45 minutes. |
Thurs 9th | 16 x 150m (2 sets of 8 with 5 mins between sets). First 50m building speed and then 100m at about 80 to 85% Walk/jog back recovery 30 to 35 minutes continuous running. Running straights hard with jog recovery on bends. |
Sat 11th | Highbury Park Meet at car park off Shutlock Lane |
Mon 13th | Relaxed social run from the club meeting at the reception area at Fox Hollies Leisure Centre. Warm up to start at 6.30pm. A variety of run distances to be led by Run Leaders. |
Tues 14th | Swanhurst Park Meet at club for 6.30pm for run to venue. If going direct be ready to run at 6.55pm (car park by fire station on Yardley Wood Road) 3 mins at 5k pace 5 mins active recovery at a steady pace. Repeat 5 times (40 minutes continuous running) |
Thurs 16th | 5 x 400m with 2 minutes 30 recovery 3 minutes recovery then 4 x 300m with 1 minute 40 recovery 3 minutes recovery then 3 x 200m with 1 minute recovery |
Sat 18th | Elmdon Park Meet at church car park. Access off Damson Parkway (by Solihull Moors football ground). |
Mon 20th | Relaxed social run from the club meeting at the reception area at Fox Hollies Leisure Centre. Warm up to start at 6.30pm. A variety of run distances to be led by Run Leaders. |
Tues 21st | Swanhurst Park Meet at club for 6.30pm for run to venue. If going direct be ready to run at 6.55pm (car park by fire station on Yardley Wood Road) A variety of efforts (relays plus solo) |
Thurs 23rd | 6 x 600m 2mins 30 secs recovery between each 600m 5-minute jog recovery 3 x 150m 1 min recovery between each 150m |
Sat 25th | Cofton Park Meet at car park off Lowhill Lane |
Mon 27th | Relaxed social run from the club meeting at the reception area at Fox Hollies Leisure Centre. Warm up to start at 6.30pm. A variety of run distances to be led by Run Leaders. |
Tues 28th | Cannon Hill Park. Meet at 6.50pm at Holders Lane car park A mixed session with a variety of efforts. |
Thurs 30th | Length of efforts and recovery to be determined by roll of dice. Maximum distance 600m and shortest 100m and maximum recovery 3 mins and shortest 30 seconds. |
